Not Every Battle Can Be Fought with Physical Strength

Not every battle can be fought with physical strength or human resources alone. According to Bishop Renato Cardoso, when a problem has a spiritual origin, it is necessary to identify it and confront it through faith.

The Importance of Discernment

Problems can arise in different areas of life, including family, health, and emotional well-being. During the Intelligence and Faith program, broadcast on September 30, Bishop Renato explained that, in addition to seeking practical solutions to the challenges they face, Christians also need to develop spiritual discernment.

In his message, the Bishop stated that one of evil's strategies is to operate discreetly and lead people to ignore its existence.

According to the Bishop, when a person does not recognize the existence of a spiritual battle, they may also fail to confront it through faith. For this reason, he emphasized the importance of being vigilant and developing spiritual discernment.

How Evil Seeks to Operate

During the message, Bishop Renato presented situations that, according to him, demonstrate how evil seeks to operate discreetly and influence people's thoughts and behavior.

1. Ridiculing those who speak about faith: According to the Bishop, one strategy is to discredit those who warn about the existence of evil by labeling them as “fanatics” or “narrow-minded.” He reminded viewers that the Lord Jesus Himself spoke about the work of the devil and highlighted the teaching found in 1 John 3:8:

“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”

2. Presenting practices that contradict faith as harmless: The Bishop also warned about practices and customs that, although socially accepted, may conflict with biblical teachings. He therefore advised Christians to evaluate what they participate in according to the Word of God.

3. Leading people to ignore the spiritual dimension: The Bishop also encouraged participants to develop discernment so they can identify situations that, according to Christian faith, may involve spiritual battles. At the same time, problems related to physical or emotional health also require appropriate attention and professional care.

How to Face a Spiritual Battle

According to the teaching presented, a spiritual battle requires the use of the weapons of faith. Bishop Renato highlighted the authority of the Name of the Lord Jesus, obedience to the Word of God, and spiritual discernment as important elements in facing such battles.
