When Light Breaks Through the Darkness
It takes only a small beam of light to break through the darkness of a room. Light reveals what is hidden and illuminates the way forward. In the spiritual world, it’s no different.
Many people face one setback after another. While difficulties are part of life, there are situations that seem to go beyond the ordinary: the same destructive patterns repeating themselves, constant conflict without any apparent cause, opportunities continually falling apart, persistent fear or oppression, recurring nightmares, unexplained heaviness and problems affecting several areas of life at once are just a few examples.
In such cases, there may be a darker influence at work. This doesn’t mean that the person is bad or responsible for what’s happening. There is a spiritual reality of which many people are unaware, and when someone lives without seeking spiritual protection, negative forces may find room to enter and affect different areas of their life.
However, if evil brings darkness into every area when it invades a person’s life, imagine what the light of God can do when it enters.
Just as a small point of light can break through the darkness of a room, the light of God dispels every form of darkness when it’s given space to act in someone’s life. As it is written in John 1:5:
“And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
In this faith, we are holding the purpose of the Point of Light every Friday at all Universal Churches. It’s the perfect occasion to present to God the situations that need His intervention and fight with spiritual weapons, trusting that His power is greater than any negativity or darkness.
